2026: An Incredible, Terrible, Horrible, and (I Hope) Wonderful Year

Dear  Joanie, Rafe, and Luca,      Today, as I begin once more the letters to you, my grand- and great-grandchildren, we are three months ...

We Are Coming to See You! Soon!

Your Mom and Coco. I miss them and you!

Well, here it is May 2021.  It's a strange time, really.  In Colorado and in most of the country, we can be outside without a mask on, but we need to keep six feet away from other people. We can dine outside with other people in our group. We still must wear a mask to go into any stores. Of course, I highly approve of that. When we fly to see you, we must keep our masks for the whole flight.

Our weather in Colorado is snowy, as it was for most of April. We would love to see our aspen trees in leaf.  Or any leaves on any trees at all. It's been a long winter.

This is a short letter, Joanie, because I'm preparing a book for your first birthday. I'm about to go back to all my entries and add some pictures of Dougie and me. After your first birthday, May 23,  I'll start a new volume of letters. Watch for them.

In the meantime, also watch for the news that Dougie and I have moved from our mountain house into a retirement community in Boulder.  There is much to work out. I'm not entirely happy about the move, but especially since Dougie can no longer drive, it makes sense to move. More about that later.

Love,

GG Katie
